George Marks
President, Operations Manager - Senior P&C Technician
George has over 30 years of experience in the industry most recently serving as Supervisor, Manager, and NETA Level IV P&C Technician with a NETA company where he managed several transmission and distribution substation commissioning projects for major utilities. Starting his electrical career in the U.S. Army as a Prime Power Production (Electrical Specialist), George’s experience also includes; Military Leadership, Project Management, Plant Outages, Start-up and Commissioning Projects for Generation, Transmission and Distribution Systems, and Pipeline Pumping Stations.
Caleb Crawford
Safety and Compliance Director – P&C Technician
Caleb is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a B.S. in Environmental Health & Safety. He brings over 7 years of experience in Protection & Controls and has served as our Safety and Compliance Director over the last 5 years. Caleb previously served as a P&C Technician with a NETA company where he worked on transmission and distribution commissioning projects for various utilities in the midwest. Caleb’s work experience includes, Safety Compliance, Project Management, SCADA, Substation Commissioning and Protective Relay Testing.
Mike Carrico
Field Service Manager – Senior P&C Technician
Mike brings over 10 years of experience in Substation Maintenance and Protection & Controls. Mike's previous roles involved leading transmission and distribution commissioning projects for major utilities. Mike’s work experience includes upgrading/installing new SCADA systems, new substations, and line and breaker panel updates. Safety Compliance, Project Management, Substation Commissioning and Protective Relay Testing are some of his core competencies.
Dan Kinney
Director of Project Management
Dan is a retired Air Force officer who worked his way up through the ranks serving 7 years as an enlisted avionics technician and 20 years as a communications officer. His civilian career that followed included 5 years as supervisor of a team of test technicians/engineers for a prominent PLC manufacturing company. He then changed career paths and entered a 15 year career as a high voltage maintenance engineer/technician. He advanced rapidly and became one of that company’s most respected technicians. In 2016 he advanced once again and was promoted to a newly created position as one of three P&C area supervisors. His academic achievements include an Associate’s, Bachelor’s, and a Master’s degree. He also attended several long military technical schools and senior service schools that included the Air Command and Staff College, Armed Forces Staff College, and the NATO Staff College. His non-academic achievements include certifications as a NETA Level IV P&C Technician, The U.S. Intelligence Certificate of Distinction, and numerous military decorations. He holds one U.S. Patent and is a licensed Amateur Extra HAM.
Ryan Marks
Field Service Manager- Senior P&C Technician
Ryan brings over 15 years of experience in Substation Maintenance and Protection & Controls and a certificate of electrical technology from Mott Community College. Ryan previously held a NETA IV certificate. Ryan previously supervised technicians whose roles involved leading transmission and distribution commissioning projects for major utilities. As well as leading the work itself. Ryan's work experience includes upgrading/installing new SCADA systems, new substations, line and breaker panel updates as well as years of apparatus testing from 480v switchgear to 765KV transformers and breakers. Ryan's competencies include: Safety Compliance, Leadership, Project Management, Plant Outages, Start-up and Commissioning Projects for Generation, Transmission and Distribution Systems, and Pipeline Pumping Stations.
Travis Crawford
P&C Technician
Travis brings over 10 years of experience in Substation Maintenance and Protection & Controls. He also spent an additional 5 years working in Telecommunications before he began his electrical career. His most recent work experience involved testing and commissioning of Utility Transmission and Distribution substations, RTS Testing, and RTU programming and checkout. Travis specializes in SCADA systems and communications, Safety Compliance, and Project Management.
Alex Hubble
Director of Field Engineering
Alex got an early start in the electrical controls world working on documentation control, project BOM coordination, and control troubleshooting problems for a local paper mill right out of high school. Through achieving success in project management of steam generation and process control projects for other mills in northern Michigan, he also earned a BSEE from Michigan Technological University and focused electives primarily in power system analysis. Using his degree and previous controls experience he picked up relay testing and protection testing quickly after spending some time working on DCS, Motor Drives, and PLC engineering and integration. Major projects include design and commissioning of 2 hydro generation facilities including entire DCS and protection replacement, testing and commissioning of 900 MW gas combined cycle plant in Texas, and various transmission and distribution substation upgrades. Alex’s competencies include: Project Management, Industrial PLC integration, Generation Startup and Commissioning, Transmission and Distribution Systems.
Jake Fischer
P&C Technician
Jake brings over 2 years experience in apparatus testing and assistance in protection & control projects. Jake’s apparatus experience includes breaker testing, CT and PT testing, as well as switchgear testing and maintenance. Jake has also assisted in protection & control commissioning projects for various utilities. Jake is proficient with power factor, timing, megger, ductor, hi-pot and Dilo SF6 analyzer, and the doble 6150.
Mike Hurley
Sales Manager
Mike resides in Ashland, KY with his wife, 4 children and two grandkids. He is a graduate of UK and has his Bachelor’s of Science of Electrical Engineering and received his Master’s of Science Degree from Marshall University with emphasis in Project Management. He has 17 years of experience at an Electric Utility Company working as a Distribution Engineer, Substation Engineer and Customer Service Engineer. In 2016, he changed career paths and has been a Sales Engineer for a couple of NETA Testing Companies. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, fishing and hunting.
Joe Psillos
Project Manager
Joe has over 25 years of experience in the electrical industry including two Masters Electrical licenses. Joe started in the I.B.E.W as a inside construction wireman where his skills transferred over to the high voltage division shortly after his apprenticeship. Joe has also served as lead technician over many construction and commissioning projects for major utilities and industrial facilities. He is currently continuing his education and pursuing a Project Managment Professional Certification from Cornell University. Joe is highly safety orientated and confident in his ability to lead.
